Your choice
The first time you visit, a small banner asks whether you accept cookies. Accept turns on the analytics described below. Reject keeps them off, and the site works just the same. One choice covers all three sites. You can change it at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page; choosing Reject after Accept deletes the analytics cookies and stops them straight away.
If you pressed Reject and later give us your email for the free tools, the email form offers one optional, unticked box to allow cookies. Leaving it unticked changes nothing.
Visit counts without cookies
To know how many people visit, we use Umami for everyone, whatever you choose on the banner. It sets no cookies, does not store your IP address and cannot tell who you are. It records only the page, how long the visit lasted, the site that sent you, and your country, device type and browser, and adds these up into totals. The data is kept in the European Union for 6 months.

These are needed for the site to work, so they do not need your permission.

Cookies only if you accept

_ga,_ga_*, up to two years): which pages and tools are used, how people arrive, and where they leave. - Microsoft Clarity (
_clckone year,_clskone day): recordings of visits (session replays) and heatmaps, so we can see where a page or a tool confuses people and fix it. nv_site1(one year): which of our three sites you visited first.- PostHog (
ph_*_posthog, one year): which tools people start, finish and give up on, how long they spend with a result, which result sections they open, and errors in the tools, so we know what to fix. It keeps no recordings and does not store your IP address.
What analytics collect when you accept
The pages you view, clicks, taps and scrolling, how long you stay, recordings of your visits with typed text masked, your device type, browser, operating system, screen size and language, your approximate location (city level, worked out from your IP address), the site or search that sent you, and any campaign tags in the link. Google, Microsoft and PostHog do not show us your IP address; they use it to work out the approximate location and do not keep it in full.
If you give us your email. When you have accepted cookies and you give us your email address for the free tools, we attach that address to your Microsoft Clarity visitor record. That record groups your visits from the same browser, before and after you gave the address, so when you write to us we can see how the tools actually behaved for you. Clarity scrambles the address inside your browser before anything is sent, so Microsoft does not receive it in readable form.
How long it is kept
- Microsoft Clarity deletes recordings after 30 days, or after up to 9 months for any we save to review.
- Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
- Your email and consent record, and your record in our customer system, are kept until you ask us to delete them.
Deleting your data
Use Delete my data: enter your email, confirm it with a 6-digit code, and we delete what we hold for that address. Or write to [email protected]. The privacy policy has the rest.
