This policy covers nidarshanavedh.com and jain.nidarshanavedh.com (together, “the site”), operated by Nidarshana Vedh from Gujarat, India. It is written to be read, not skimmed. Last updated 30 September 2026.
What we collect and why
Your email address, when you use the free tools. Before any of the free tools runs (the kundali, matching and numerology tools, the calculators, the checks built into articles and, on the Jain site, the muhurta finder, the panchang for another place or date, and the daily times for another date), we ask for your email and your explicit consent, and we email you a 6-digit code to type in (the same email has a one-click link as well). Before sending it, we check that the part of the address after the @ can receive mail at all, using a public DNS lookup. We store the address, the exact consent text you agreed to, the date and time, the page you were on, and the country your connection came from. We use it to confirm the address is yours and, because you agreed, to send occasional emails about your chart, timings and new tools, starting with one welcome email after you confirm. Nothing you type into the tools themselves (birth date, time, place, names) is sent to us or stored by us, unless you choose to include it with a feedback message (see below); the charts are computed in your browser and, for some calculations, through an astronomy API that receives only the birth data needed to compute positions and does not receive your email.
Booking details, when you book a consultation. Bookings run through Cal.com. The name, email, phone number, birth details and questions you enter there are held in our Cal.com account and in the calendar of the astrologer so that the session can take place. Payment details are exchanged by email and are never entered on this site.
Messages you send us. Contact and correction forms are delivered to our mailbox through FormSubmit and kept as ordinary email.
Feedback on the tools. Each result on the tools has a link for telling us that something looks wrong, unclear or missing. When you send one, we receive your message and rating, the section and page it refers to, the country your connection came from and your browser type, and your email address only if you give it for a reply. The birth details you entered (on the panchang and muhurta tools, the date, place or purpose you chose) are included only if you tick the box asking for them to be sent, so that the exact chart or day can be checked. We use feedback only to check and correct the tools and to reply to you.
Analytics, only if you accept cookies. When you press Accept on the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and PostHog to see which pages and tools are used and where they break. They record the pages you view, clicks and scrolling, recordings of your visits (session replays, with typed text masked), your device, browser, screen size and language, your approximate location and the site that sent you. IP addresses are truncated or not stored by these providers. If you press Reject, neither runs. We do not run advertising on the site. The cookie policy lists every cookie and how long it lasts. To count visits we also use Umami for everyone: it sets no cookies, does not store your IP address and cannot identify you; it only adds up pages, visit length, referring sites, countries, device types and browsers.
Linking analytics to your email. If you have accepted cookies (or ticked the optional cookie box when giving us your email) and you have given us your email address to use the free tools, we attach that address to your Microsoft Clarity visitor record, which groups your visits from the same browser before and after, so that when you write to us we can see how the tools actually behaved for you rather than guess. Clarity hashes the address inside your browser before anything is sent, so Microsoft does not receive it in readable form, and we pass no display name. Visitors who have not given us an email address are never linked this way. Your address is also kept in your own browser’s local storage so the link survives between visits; clearing your browser data removes it, and asking us to delete your data removes the rest.
Where the data lives
Email and consent records, and feedback on the tools, are stored in Cloudflare Workers KV, and a copy is kept in a private spreadsheet in our own Google account (Google Sheets), and is kept in our own private customer relationship system, which runs on Cloudflare (Workers and D1), so that we can honour unsubscribe and deletion requests in one place. If you write to us, or we reply to you, the date, subject and a short extract of those emails are recorded there too, so that we can follow up properly; nothing else from our mailbox is stored, and you can ask for all of it to be deleted. Verification and any nurture emails are sent through Resend. Bookings live in Cal.com. Analytics data lives with Google and Microsoft. The site itself is served by Cloudflare Pages.
How long we keep it
Email and consent records are kept until you ask us to delete them or until we close the list. Feedback is kept while it is useful for improving the tools, and deleted on request. Booking records are kept for three years for accounting. Your record in our customer system is kept until you ask us to delete it. Session recordings are deleted by Microsoft Clarity after 30 days, or after up to 9 months for any we save to review. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months. Our backups delete themselves within 14 days, so a deletion reaches them within two weeks.
Your rights
You may at any time ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you may withdraw consent for emails with a single reply or with the one-click unsubscribe link in any email we send. Write to [email protected] and we will act within 7 days. This applies to everyone, and it reflects the rights set out in India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. The quickest way to delete everything is Delete my data: confirm your email with a code and it is done.
